- Of these workers, 7% usually used methamphetamine in the workplace.

- Males are more likely than female workers to use methamphetamine.
Methamphetamine use is more common in industries / workplaces where there are:
- 18-39-year-old trades people
- mainly male workers
- demanding working conditions and/or irregular hours.
Industries with higher levels of use include:
- utilities
- hospitality
- agriculture
- construction
- manufacturing.
Only a small proportion of workers use methamphetamine and there has been no significant increase in recent years. However, those workers who use methamphetamine are at greater risk of developing severe problems.
